Our Local Projects Team is currently working on starting a new project in the colonias of South Texas. Many of the people living in this region lack access to clean water for drinking, bathing, and other basic necessities. Right now, we are working on partnering with the Texas A&M EWB chapter and A&M Colonias Program to come up with an engineering project which will help with the water distribution issues in the colonias near Laredo. Some of the projects we are currently looking into include making drinking water filters or building kilns to fire the filters. Since this project is still in the very early stages of planning, we could benefit from a variety of engineering knowledge and connections to the region.

Most Tuesdays 6:00 – 7:00 pm at University Presbyterian Church
