Get Involved

There are several ways to get involved with the Greater Austin Chapter of Engineers Without Borders.

Meet and Greets

Regular Thirsty Third Thursday Meet and Greet starting at 6:00 pm. We will be meeting at the Spider House Cafe which offers a full beverage and food selection. Come hang out and learn about different ways to get involved! Spider House Cafe 2908 Fruth Street Austin, TX 78705-3718 (512) 480-9562

Executive Committee Meetings

Executive Committee Meetings are a general chapter meeting/workshop held the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Spider House Cafe. These meetings are forums for generating innovative ideas to move the chapter forward and create a strong foundation of support for our projects. Everyone is welcome. These meetings are a great way for folks to learn more about the organization and become involved with the chapter.

We hope to see you there!

Panama Project Meetings

The Panama Project team meets weekly to work on the design, planning and education for their project in Sieykin, Panama.  This is a great way to get immediately involved in working on projects and discussing potential solutions and problems.  There is a place for everyone here from civil engineers to nurses.   The best way to get involved with the Panama Project meetings is to email a subgroup lead or project lead to inquire how you may fit in the process.  Then look over the resources online (see Panama Project Tab) to educate yourself on the current progress of the project and show up and start contributing.

Mexico Computer Project

If you would like to get involved please join us at our weekly meetings Monday’s at 7 pm in room 306 of the Engineering Science Building (map) on campus.  There is street parking available on Dean Keaton or on San Jacinto Blvd., however if you would like to attend a meeting for the first time feel free to email Jesethdv@mail.utexas.edu ahead of time to get a phone number to call for directions.
